ESWATINI ATLANTIC SALMON PROJECT INVESTOR MANUAL
Executive Summary: The NT Investment Group (NTI), in conjunction with AquaMaof Technologies Ltd (an international leader in designing & operating land-based Atlantic salmon systems) and Eswatini National Industrial Development Cooperation (a public impact investment entity), is spearheading a game-changing investment opportunity in aquaculture in the South African Development Community (SADC) region.
The need for self-sufficiency, food security, and sustainable development is fused with the desire for significant participation in the burgeoning global Atlantic salmon trade (total size of more than three million tons and growing at a rate of around one hundred thousand tons per year).
This project, with its fundamental capacity to produce five thousand tons per year, using state-of-the-art indoor RAS technology in the Kingdom of Eswatini, is targeting supplying segments of the key global markets as well as developing regional SADC demand. This opportunity could not have come at a better time, as international prices are rising due to the increase in global demand and the limited capacity to supply farmed Atlantic salmon.
The project is at the advanced stage of development and is aiming to become fully operational within the next three years. Hence, NT Investment Group invites potential investors to evaluate the business opportunity and express interest through the channels outlined below. Overview of the problem we are solving: A growing population is putting pressure on global food systems including the fish breeding industry. As world fish consumption continues to grow, aquaculture and fish farming specifically have emerged to take up the slack. As an example, in 2017 the export income from salmon and trout reached $61.1 billion. In terms of volume, it is estimated that aquaculture production in Norway, alone, amounts to around 37 million fish meals per day. To put that in perspective that’s a meal for everyone in Canada, each and every day.
